Privacy Policy

Selah is designed to be private. The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.

Data collection

Selah does not use accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking technologies, telemetry, or third-party software development kits. It does not contact a Selah server.

Information stored on your Mac

Your saved verses, recent viewing history, appearance preference, and launch-at-login preference are stored locally in the app’s sandboxed container on your Mac. This information is used only to provide app features and is not transmitted off your device.

Network access and third parties

The Bible text is bundled with the app and works offline. If you choose a link in Settings, macOS opens that public webpage in your default browser. If you choose Share, Apple’s standard sharing interface sends content only to the destination you select.

Data retention and deletion

Local preferences remain until you change them or remove the app’s data from your Mac. You can remove individual saved verses inside Selah. Uninstalling Selah and deleting its application container removes its locally stored information.

Children’s privacy

Selah does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If Selah’s privacy practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed version is released.
