Privacy Policy
Red Button Quit does not collect, store, or transmit personal data.
Data collection
Red Button Quit has no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, cloud services, or network communication. We do not receive any data from the app.
Mouse events
The app observes left mouse clicks and non-content window metadata, such as window position, only to recognize an intentional click on an enabled app's red close button. It never reads window contents. Event coordinates and window metadata are processed briefly on your Mac and are never logged, stored, or transmitted.
Accessibility access
The Direct edition uses macOS Accessibility APIs to observe window lifecycle and role metadata in compatible apps. This access is used only to determine whether a standard window closed and whether another window or save dialog remains. Red Button Quit does not read document contents, type into apps, capture the screen, or store Accessibility data.
Settings stored on your Mac
Your enabled preference, launch-at-login preference, and per-app choices remain on your Mac. Per-app choices contain only app display names and bundle identifiers. Red Button Quit does not retain application paths, document access, or security-scoped bookmarks. macOS manages the app's permission status.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party SDKs and does not share data with anyone.
Children's privacy
Red Button Quit does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Policy changes
If the app's privacy practices change, this policy will be updated before the changed version is released. The effective date above identifies the current version.
